Pine & Bedford’s Solid Shampoo Bar is a concentrated, sulfate-free shampoo made with gentle cleansing surfactants including Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa). It is offered in our mild Forest fragrance reminiscent of a sweet Pacific Forest.
Despite its similar-sounding name, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is not Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). We chose our blend to create plenty of cleansing lather in a compact solid bar.
Argan Oil, Panthenol and conditioning ingredients round out the formula, leaving hair feeling clean, soft and manageable.
Our bars are approximately 52 g. Kept dry between uses, one little bar can last surprisingly well.
We also offer a Solid Conditioner bar.
Note: The 'shampoo' impression on the top of the bar will wear down over time, so if you also purchased the solid conditioner bar - a great way to remember which is the shampoo and which is the conditioner is our little rhyme: BLUE is SHAMPOO, because blue rhymes with shampoo, making the light green bar the conditioner.
Our bar is 52g and the dimensions are approximately 63 mm or 2.25 inches in diameter and 12.7 mm or .5 inches thick.
Why did we make this?: The inspiration for this came from a friend who asked me if I could make her a solid shampoo (& conditioner) bar like the ones from the Shopping Mall. We did one better - a sulfate-free bar for only a few dollars more. If you are like me, and affected by sulfates, this bar is worth its weight in gold. No more itchy, bumpy, flakey, burning scalp.
INCI Ingredients (Latin): Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (MCT Coconut oil), Argania Spinosa Kernel (Argan oil), Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (BTMS 50), Cetyl Alcohol, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein, Panthenol (Vit. B5), Parfum, Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (Preservative), Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Ultramarine Blue (Colour).
Note: We purchase only fragrances that are phthalate-free.
