Pine & Bedford’s Retreat is a soft, sophisticated floral from our Every Day Lather Collection. Made with Organic Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, RSPO Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Kaolin Clay and Coconut Milk, it begins with gentle bubbles and works into the rich, creamy lather we love in our Every Day Lather bars.

The fragrance is soft, fresh and beautifully floral — elegant without being overpowering. We don’t believe you should be able to smell your bathroom soap from the living room, and Retreat is a perfect example: enough fragrance to make using it feel special, without taking over the room.

The bar has a warm yellow base topped with a simple white sunflower, giving it a cheerful, understated finish.

Why We Made This

For years, I purchased a particular floral fragrance from the United States. When I decided to stop bringing in fragrance oils from the U.S., I went looking for a Canadian alternative. And that is how I found this one.

It was highly rated, so I decided to give it a try — and I’m very glad I did. It is soft, fresh and elegant, and somehow feels both uplifting and peaceful at the same time. It quickly became one of my new favourites.

Sometimes you go looking for a replacement and discover something you like even better.

Retreat seemed like exactly the right name.
