Amber Hibiscus - with Colloidal Oats
Pine & Bedford's Amber Hibiscus is a handcrafted cold process soap from our Every Day Lather Collection. Made with Organic Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, RSPO Palm Oil and Castor Oil, with Colloidal Oats and Kaolin Clay, it begins with bubbles and works into the rich, creamy lather characteristic of our Every Day Lather formula.
Amber Hibiscus has gentle Amber and Vanilla fragrance. The bar is as pretty as it is practical. Rough layers of deep turquoise and purple form the base, topped with small purple and blue hibiscus flowers made from soap. Because each bar is handcrafted, colours, layers and embellishments may vary slightly from bar to bar.
Why did we make this?
I love hibiscus flowers. They always make me think of Hawaii — beautiful, colourful and just a little bit tropical. Then I found this tiny hibiscus silicone mold and, quite frankly, I couldn't resist it.
Of course, once you own a hibiscus mold, you need a soap to put hibiscus flowers on. I paired the little purple and blue flowers with layers of deep turquoise and purple and a soft Amber & Vanilla fragrance. And that is really how Amber Hibiscus came to be.
Sometimes we make a soap because we have a great idea. Sometimes we buy a tiny silicone mold and the soap has no choice.
