Pine and Bedford's Solid Shampoo Bar for normal hair is offered in two fragrances: Forest and Rain, and three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
The Forest fragrance is reminiscent of the sweet smell of a Pacific Forest, and Rain is a fresh rain scent with a hint of pepper.
We also offer a Solid Conditioner bar.
Note: the 'shampoo' impression on the top of the bar will wear down over time so if you also purchase the solid conditioner bar - a great way to remember which is the shampoo and which is the conditioner is our little rhyme: BLUE is SHAMPOO because blue rhymes with shampoo, making the light green bar the conditioner.
This is the only non-vegan product we make. The reason we make this non-vegan recipe, is because I use these products myself; and I cannot forgo the Hydrolized Keratin Protein which is an animal product (from sheep). If/when I find an equal vegan product, I will reformulate.
The weight of each shampoo bar is as follows:
Small is approximately 52 g or 1.8 oz., Medium is approximately 70 g of 2.5 oz. and Large is approximately 82g or 2.9 oz.
The dimensions are as follows:
Small is approximately 63 mm or 2.25 inches in diameter and 19 mm or .75 inches thick, Medium is approximately 70 mm or 2.75" in diameter and 19 mm or .75" thick, and Large is approximately 70 mm or 2.75" in diameter and 25 mm or 1" thick.
The inspiration for this came from a friend who asked me if I could make her a solid shampoo & conditioner bar like the ones from Lush. We did one better - ours are sulfate-free and cost the same.
INCI Ingredients (Latin): Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (MCT Coconut oil), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (BTMS 25), Cetyl Alcohol, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein, Panthenol (Vit. B5), Parfum, Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (Preservative), Mica, Titanium Dioxide & Ultramarine Blue (Colour).
Note: All fragrances are phthalate-free.
