When using a handcrafted soap, we recommend lifting the soap out of standing water. Handcrafted soap contains no preservatives (they serve only to extend shelf life of commercial soap, and are not needed) so it will turn into a 'gloppy pile of goop' if left standing in water. 

Please use either a slotted soap dish, a soap saver to lift your soap In a non-slotted dish, or a soap saver bag to hand soap between uses. Each of these products will help keep your handcrafted soap usable, and extend the life of your bar.

For shower gels (and even bar soap if you are so inclined) we suggest a bath poof to help sustain the bubbles. 

Loofas and soap saver bags made from sisal are excellent ways to exfoliate dead skin.
